One of the most awaited films of the year, Luka Chuppi released yesterday, and it has been receiving some amazing reviews ever since. Kriti Sanon and Kartik Aaryan put up stellar performances in the film for sure.
The film is about what happens when a young couple in India decide to go for a live in relationship. The drama that follows, the family complications – everything is so relatable.
The best part is, both Kartik and Kriti look like they’ve been made for the roles. They’re perfectly at ease with each other, and their on screen chemistry is enough to blow your minds.
Also, the comic timing of the film is out of the world. Be it Kartik or Pankaj Tripathi, everyone has done justice to their roles. The film also received a favourable response from the Indian audience.
On day 1 itself, the film has earned approximately 8.01 crores. This is huge considering the fact that the film is a light-hearted comedy and a typical entertainment Bollywood flick.
It must also be mentioned that this film is Kartik Aaryan’s biggest opener till date. He had nailed his role in the Pyaar Ka Punchnama series, and the films had done remarkably well at the box office.
But with Luka Chuppi, Kartik has smashed his own box office records. Pyaar Ka Punchnama, which shot Kartik to fame, had earned 92 lakhs on Day 1, whereas Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2 earned 6.80 crores. Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety earned 6.42 crores on the opening day.
