PM Modi’s decision of demonetizing Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes has left a big impact and Bollywood isn’t any exception. While celebs have welcome this move, there is no denying of the fact that the business has suffered big time. With empty seats in the theater, it is getting difficult for producers to get back payments.
We already saw the impact on Rock On 2 and Force 2. They weren’t able to bring any good news from collections.
However, there was some respite with the release of the movie “Dear Zindagi” that hit the screens on the 25th of November. On the opening day, it collected 8.75 crores; however, it failed to spread the magic which usually an SRK movie does.
Weekend collections were expected to be better; let’s have a look…

The movie has performed exceptionally well on Saturday; it minted 11.25 crores, bringing the total to 20 crores. It has successfully defeated the demonetization effect and has earned a good figure, isn’t it?
Sunday collections are expected to be even better, let’s see how it goes!
Day 1- 8.75 crores!
Day 2- 11.25 crores!
Total – 20 crores!
