Recently in an interview, Deepak Tijori revealed why he wasn’t seen in movies since 2000 and how he got the role in “Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar” despite being rejected in the audition. On not being seen in films since 2000, Deepak Tijori gives the example of Arshad Warsi whom he feels is one of the most talented actors of the industry but he is stuck in the image which was made by people and it is really hard to come out of that image or stereotype.

As per Deepak, Saif Ali Khan was quite lucky as he was also stuck with movies like “Main Khiladi Tu Anari” but then he got “Dil Chahta Hai” and he never looked back but he (Deepak Tijori) and Arshad were not lucky as Saif.

Deepak also disclosed how he got the role in “Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar” which was earlier played by model-actor Milind Soman. He said that he gave the audition but he wasn’t selected, later on he got the role because of Aamir Khan. He showers praises on Aamir and says that the latter is one of the most intelligent actors of Bollywood because he never gives favors while casting.

Earlier the role which was played by Deepak Tijori was to be played by Milind Soman who surprisingly left the movie after completing 75 percent of shooting. Deepak says that he doesn’t know why Milind Soman left the movie but in a recent interview, Milind stated that he left “Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar” because he was not getting breakfast.

“Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar” was released in 1992; directed by Mansoor Khan, it starred Ayesha Jhulka in the female lead and was loved by audiences.
