For our Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone and actor Ranveer Singh, 2018 was great. They walked into the year with their magnum opus Padmaavat, by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and ended by tying the knot with each other in Italy’s beautiful Lake Como.
Even Ranveer’s Simmba did astoundingly with 200 crore to the film’s name. Since Deepika was busy planning her wedding she took time to sign a new project. And then after her wedding, at the end of 2018, she did, Chhapaak.
Recently, in an interview she was asked about how or when they are planning to change their surname for each other, since they are married now. As, it was heard that Ranveer Singh will also change his surname for his ladylove.
But it turns out that it is not true after all. Deepika said that, after another interview where she was asked this same question, she realized that how she and Ranveer never had that conversation about changing surnames.
According to Deepika, both of them worked very hard, to make their individual selves as they are today. They struggled to create their own identity and so at the very bottom of their heart they are very much like each other.
So, with loads to do and loads to achieve, Deepika also added that with every character she is doing, she is growing a bit. She is realizing those struggles and experiencing them to learn and to grow.
So, we wish them all the very best and a very welcoming change on the societal forefront.
