As we all know that “Tamasha” directed by Imtiaz Ali starring Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor in lead roles could not do well on Box Office, the actors have made up their mind to return Rs. 15 crores to the movie’s producers, Sajid Nadiadwala and UTV, as per the report of Miss Malini. Distributors bought the movie at an extremely high rate on account of the star cast who also happen to be ex-lovers; needless to mention that we are talking about Ranbir and Deepika with whom people had high expectations but sadly enough, Tamasha disappointed!
Even though it succeeded in getting appreciation and praise from critics, the movie could not earn as much as it was expected from it and for the same, it had been ranked simply an average one. And for making it viable on the part of producers, there are rumors that Deepika has allegedly returned Rs. 5 crores whereas Ranbir has returned Rs. 10 crores with the intention that producers do not suffer much loss. It must be a co-incidence that Anurag Kashyap also came to a decision of returning production cost to Fox Star Studios for loss they had to suffer because of Bombay Velvet.
