Earlier marks were not given much importance but it was the practical experience which counted a lot. Ever remembered your grandfather or great-grandfather saying that they scored 100 out of 100?
But now time has changed a lot and be it parents, teachers or students, all run after marks without contemplating the essential fact that academic records not completely determine the future of a kid, although they matter to a great extent.
There have been a number of successful people who scored less than many students who feel inferior just because they could not score in 90s. And believe me, marks might indicate towards your interest and knowledge to some extent but they are not going to decide your future at all!
