Deputy Commissioner of Police Metro – Jitendra Mani

Jitendra Mani is from Delhi and there was a time when he used to weigh 130 kgs, suffered from diseases such as diabetes, high blood pressure and increased cholesterol levels. The Delhi cop decided to bring his life on the right track by losing weight and for this, he kept an aim of walking 15K steps daily. He also changed his diet from a high-carbohydrate one (rice, rotis, etc.) to the one which has more nutritional value such as soups, salads, fruits, etc.

Lost 46 kgs and 12 inches of waist in 8 months:

Just by making some changes in his lifestyle and diet, Jitendra Mani made a big turnaround in his life by losing 46 kgs and 12 inches of his waist in a small time period of 8 months plus his cholesterol levels also came down considerably.

During an interview, Jitendra Mani stated that when he took the decision of making his life better, he set a goal of walking 4.5 lakhs steps/month so in the last 8 months, he has walked more than 32 lakh steps.

The police department also recognized the efforts made by Jitendra Mani and he was presented by an appreciation certificate by Delhi Police Commissioner, Sanjay Arora in a function organized for the purpose of felicitating him.

He was not just congratulated but was also asked to devise a model based on his experience which can be adopted by those who need health intervention.
