The candy is available in few selected states only but the demand is soaring so high that in Delhi, it is being sold on 50% higher rate than its price. Pulse which a raw mango-flavoured candy with a tangy inside, costs Rs.1, but the supply is so low and demand so high that roadside kiosks stocking it and selling it at Rs 1.50 . What’s more, it is being bought in huge volumes by the candy lovers.

This candy is being produced by DS group and the sales have reached to the level of Rs. 50 crore and most probably by March 2016, it will reach Rs. 100 crore. If we talk about the marketing and promotion done by the company, they have not done much, whatever publicity it got is the result of word of mouth.

VP of DS Group, Surana has this to say in this connection, “We never expected this demand. Placement of Pulse initially was to test the market. We also heard of Pulse selling at a premium. Whenever we receive a report of such activities, we immediately take action. (But) certain things are beyond our control.”

The fake products are also out in the market so be careful while purchasing your favorite Pulse candy.

If you haven’t tried the juicy candy yet, go and get one now! Certainly, you won’t be able to resist its temptation!
