In today’s world, moral policing and slamming are increasing by leaps and bounds. Every now and then, we stumble upon incidents which make us realize that the world is becoming a worse place to live. What’s more, discrimination on the basis of cast, creed, color and religion is also on a rise. Even more amazingly, people have divided colors too; saffron is considered the color of Hindus while green is for Muslims. I mean really? Couldn’t people spare colors even? It’s not done here! Clothes have their category too and moral police may consider it a crime to combine a saree with a hijab. WTF!

Recently, Ayush Kejriwal who is a British-Indian designer was slammed for being creative. He just took the liberty of pairing an elegant hijab with a saree and giving it a stylish look. You too will agree that this extraordinary combination deserves to be applauded!

He shared the pic with caption, “HIJABS ARE VERY STYLISH! #hijabandasaree. This is a sneak peek from my latest shoot. Many of my clients proudly wear a Hijab and always ask me questions about styling it with #sarees. So I thought why don’t I style a look with a hijab and showcase how I would go about styling a #hijabandasaree together. Now please note : I have never worked with a hijab before so technically this may not be perfect but that’s not the point. The idea was to style a look with a hijab and this is my take on it. Please don’t get all upset and start leaving horrible messages here I am not trying to disrespect or undervalue any faith , this is just my take on styling #hijabandasaree for my clients. Hope you all like the sneak peek.”
However, an Instagram user couldn’t tolerate this ‘crime’ and thrashed him in harsh words, “Don’t pollute our beautiful Hindu Culture with suppressive Islamic elements. Saree represents Hindu values.”
The designer was in no mood to tolerate the hatred. In a furious tone, he replied, “Don’t you dare claim ownership of any religion and faith. I respect and value all religions and faith and will not tolerate any discrimination on my page. You are going to be blocked, you can take your sick mindset elsewhere.”

Later, he posted another pic on Instagram with a powerful message,
“RELIGION SHOULD EMPOWER NOT HINDER. #hijabandasaree. Discrimination, Bullying, Religious hatred, Abusive and Offensive comments will not be tolerated here. I respect all faith and religions and everyone has the right to dress in any which way they feel comfortable in. No one has the right to dictate or comment on how one chooses to dress! I would request you all to be mindful of what you say here as I will not tolerate any nonsense. None what so ever. Let’s spread love not hatred. Build bridges not walls! Live and let live ❤”
