Reliance Jio had stormed the market with its free and amazing plan; after that all telecom operators tried their best to compete with the giant. They did everything possible; free data, unlimited calling, cheapest rates etc.
Since Jio has extended the offer for 3 more months i.e. till March 2017, it seems competition will still be on and major giants will continue to shower us with some lucrative offers.
Airtel has been one such company which has been the best in terms of data and calling plans. Every time, it has introduced something or the other for surviving the tough competition and it has been successful.
Airtel’s latest offering is too hard to resist. Want to know what has it offered this time? Well, it has surprised everyone by announcing a new plan in which it will be offering free 4G data (Worth up to Rs 9.000) for 12 months i.e. till the 31st of December 2017. It is not unlimited data, but just 3 GB of 4G data every month.
This is only for those customers who have a 4G mobile handset but aren’t on Airtel network. Once they switch to Airtel’s 4G connection, they will get the benefit. Even existing Airtel customers can avail this offer, but they will have to upgrade to a new 4G handset.
The offer is valid all across India and will start from the 4th of January; offer ends on the 28th of February 2017.
An Airtel statement read “Under this offer, selected customers with prepaid and postpaid connections will get free 3 GB data every month till December 31, 2017, with the benefits over and above the pack/plan benefits.”
For prepaid users!
When prepaid users recharge with a data pack of their choice, 3 GB of 4G data will be added. For instance, if a user recharges with Rs 345, he will get 1 GB (As per plan) + 3 GB (As per the offer) along with free local and STD calls. One can avail this benefit through MyAirtel app. Each data pack would be valid for 28 days and a customer can do maximum 13 recharges till 31st of December 2017.
For Postpaid customers!
This can be availed on all MyPlan Infinity Plans. For instance if you choose the Rs 549 plan, you get 3 GB data according to your plan, and 3 GB 4G data as part of the offer and you will get a total of 6 GB of 4G data along with unlimited free calling. Even postpaid customers can avail it through MyAirtel App.
