True, movies are more than just entertainment and time pass for some people who get inspiration and lifetime lessons from the same. In other words, there are many individuals for whom dialogs and situations of Bollywood movies leave such an impact that they get strength to overcome even the toughest and most complex problems. This article also brings the story of one such man to light who was in the state of utter depression and when he felt that it was the end, he came across a dialog of Shah Rukh Khan’s movie “Om Shanti Om” which saved him.
This is the story of Ravi Kapoor who shared it via Twitter after going through an extremely depressing state! Here it’s narrated by means of tweets:
I've always admired @deepikapadukone because she's not only a good looking actor, she's someone who battled & defeated depression. I 💖 her.

And I can connect with her because I also battled the same for 11 months. @ikaveri @Netra @Harneetsin enquired about me during that period.

Each day, I used to struggle getting up from the bed. Getting ready for work seemed like ages. Used to board Metro & kept sitting for hours.
— Ravi Kapoor (@RaviKapoor) December 5, 2015
One day, I simply left my home, boarded Metro, got down at Kashmere Gate station, entered ISBT & sat on the iron bench in waiting lounge.
— Ravi Kapoor (@RaviKapoor) December 5, 2015
Can you believe he spent 46 days on bus stand?
I sat/slept on that iron bench at Kashmere Gate ISBT for 46 days. Yes. I didn't went back home for 46 days. My folks were worried back home.

I used to observe people. Silently. After 46 days, when I had ₹20 left in my wallet, I thought this is the end. But then, @iamsrk saved me.

And this is how he was able to overcome his depression:
A guy sat down next to me, was reading @htcity & it had a pic of @iamsrk with his Om Shanti Om dialog, "Picture abhi baaki hai, mere dost!"
— Ravi Kapoor (@RaviKapoor) December 5, 2015
That quote from @iamsrk jolted me out of my 11-month depression. I decided, I'll rebuild my destiny. I returned home, comforted my parents.

I wanted to make a fresh start. Got in touch with @MasalaBai @jasuja for work. They were helpful. @anaggh assured me, this phase will pass.

During my last 24 years of professional life, I worked across multiple industries but one thing always remained same: my 💖 for #Bollywood.

Whenever I felt low in life, I entered cinema halls in #Delhi, watched #Bollywood films, and came out feeling good about everything in life.

#Bollywood saved me from taking drastic steps in life. I'll remain grateful to @iamsrk for his Om Shanti Om dialog. I'm now rebuilding self.

And so, I admire/applaud & respect @deepikapadukone because she's a strong woman, a survivor, & someone who shaped her own destiny. I 💖 her.

And the EPIC moment when Shah Rukh Khan himself tweeted this for Ravi:
May Allah give you many more reasons to have a good life my man. https://t.co/UOITOrKCDU
— Shah Rukh Khan (@iamsrk) December 5, 2015
And now Ravi Kapoor has this message for all his friends who ever suffered depression after he fought grave mental sickness, “No matter what happens in life, never give up because…Picture abhi baaki hain, mere dost.”
