Dilwale and Bajirao Mastani, the two most awaited movies of 2015 are going to release on the same day that is on 18th December, 2015 giving a tough competition to each other. However, if we go by the trend of advance bookings, Dilwale is a straight winner in this race.
Advance booking for Rohit Shetty’s Dilwale started on 14th December and majority of the morning shows are almost completely booked, although in some theatres the tickets are left to be sold but situation will be changing in the next two days as Shah Rukh himself with his company Red Chillies has came on twitter asking public to book tickets and since then #DilwaleAdvanceBookingStarts has been trending on twitter. Shah Rukh himself announced on twitter, as he tweeted:

He further added, “Let us take u for a fun and happy ride these holidays. Love. Don’t argue guys go and watch Dilwale…”
However, the things are quite different for Bajirao Mastani. The film has definitely excited and attracted the audience but the advance booking has not yet started for this most ambitious project of Sanjay Leela Bhansali. This historical story of a Pehswa and his lover, starring Ranveer Singh, Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone is all set to release on 18th December but it seems as if Dilwale is taking a lead in the race of box office.
Entity One’s founder Girish Wankhede says, “Dilwale is a massy, fun film starring Shah Rukh Khan and it will obviously have more screens. The light content will make it the preferred film by the young crowd who do have spending power as far as the box office is concerned.” while he was asked to give his opinion of Bajirao Mastani, he said, “It is a classy, niche film that requires serious viewing. Hence, it will be played out in fewer screens. Dilwale will score better being a fun film and with the Rohit Shetty brand of fast cars and stuff.”
However, Girish feels that both Shah Rukh and Sanjay will be earning good amount on box office but Dilwale will be the bigger grosser of the two.
