Director Of ‘Baby’ Thrown Out Of Theater For Not Standing Up For National Anthem

Neeraj Pandey, a 26-year old scriptwriter and aspiring poet was evicted out and thrown out of cinema room this Tuesday just because he didn’t stand up for National Anthem. Since the year 2003, the State Government has issued orders that every theatre must play the national anthem before the movie starts. Neeraj, who went for the movie Wazir with his 2 friends in Goregaon, didn’t stand up when the national anthem was played.

The audience who had come there for watching the movie became really very angry. They asked him to leave the movie hall and also accused him that he lacks patriotism.
Neeraj stated that few seconds before it began, few people asked him why he was sitting. Then, there were some others who joined in and said that he was disrespecting the nation and he should leave.
In the past too, several similar incidents have happened wherein people had to face this insult for not standing up for national anthem.
