The Indian cricket team is in a pretty strong position in the first test match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2023 which is being played at Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium as it took a lead of 223 runs over Australia after its first innings. The Indian squad posted a total of 400 runs on the score board in its first innings in response to Australia’s score of 177 of the first innings. The Indian skipper Rohit Sharma (120 runs), Ravindra Jadeja (70 runs) and Axar Patel (84 runs) played brilliant knocks and in the end, Mohammed Shami played quick knock of 37 runs for which he played 47 balls and smashed 2 fours and 3 sixes.
Ravindra Jadeja is certainly one of the finest all-rounders of the present time and with this test match, he has made a comeback in the cricket field after almost six months as he was suffering from knee injury. Ravindra Jadeja contributed with not just bat but earlier in Australia’s first innings, he dismissed 5 batters as well.
The former Aussie cricketer Matthew Hayden who was doing commentary with Ravi Shastri and Dinesh Karthik during the ongoing test match praised Ravindra Jadeja and called him a three-dimensional (3D) player.
