In Russia, one patient lost his life when a doctor punched him on head as a result of which the patient died on the spot. The incident took place on 29 December but it came into limelight when the CCTV footage of the incident went viral on the Internet. It all happened in the southern city of Belgorod which is nearly 670 Km from Moscow, the capital of Russia.
It is said that the patient had unintentionally touched a nurse who was examining him and when this was reported to the doctor, he got angry. He came to patient and asked the patient why he touched the nurse and then he pulled him and punched him on head. Meanwhile, a man (in black jacket) tried to pacify the situation but the doctor thrashed him badly too. The doctor has been identified as Ilya Zelendinov, who is a surgeon at the hospital and the patient is recognized as Yevgeny Bakhtin; he was 56 years old.
Russian media has named the doctor as Boxer-Doctor who he has been booked for causing death due to negligence. He has been fired from the job and asked not to leave the city without taking permission from the authorities.
