Dr. K Sivan whose complete name is Dr. Kailasavadivoo Sivan, the chairperson of Indian space agency (ISRO), has become a household name in India after he was seen on the television sobbing and Prime Minister Narendra Modi consoled him after the last minute snag that took place in the Chandrayaan 2 mission.
ISRO lost communication with the Vikram lander when it was just 2.1 km away from landing on the Moon. Later ISRO revealed that Vikram lander landed on the lunar surface and they were trying to establish communication with it.
Talking about Dr. K Sivan, he is an inspiration for many people as he faced a number of problems in his life but never lost hope. With his hard work and dedication, he proved that nothing is impossible in this world if you are truly devoted. Dr. K Sivan is from family of farmers and he has been the first person to complete graduation in his family. He joined ISRO in the year 1982 and worked on the Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) and since then, he has contributed a lot in the development of cryogenic engines for launch vehicles.
A video of Dr. K Sivan is going viral on the Internet in which he is giving interview to a Tamil TV channel. This interview was taken in 2018 but it is going viral now because of the reply that was given by the ISRO Chairperson.
The interviewer asked Dr. K Sivan that as a Tamilian, he has achieved such a big position so what he wants to say to the people of Tamil Nadu.
In his reply, Dr. K Sivan says that first of all he is an Indian and he has joined ISRO as an Indian. He further states that people from all the regions who speak different languages work in ISRO and contribute towards its success. He also adds that he is grateful to his colleagues who support and celebrate him.
