Drunk Man Tweeted A Complaint To Railway Minister But Himself Got Arrested!

Presently, the Indian Railways has a reputation of acting swiftly on the complaint made by a passenger but sometimes, people misuse the facility provided to them.

On Tuesday, the railway officials stated that a person named Prayas Taravi had been arrested for filing a false complaint against a train ticket examiner (TTE) and Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel, alleging that they misbehaved with him in the Bhind-Indore Intercity Express.

Prayas, who is from Dewas, took to Twitter to file his complaint and the complaint was immediately forwarded to RPF commandant, Bhopal, by the railway minister.

To look into the matter, Gopal Meena, the RPF sub-inspector, boarded the train at Shivpuri and he found that the complaint was false. The complainant was under the influence of liquor when he tweeted. Gopal also recorded the statements of other travelers who told that Prayas had been misbehaving with others.

Here’s what Gopal said,

“Taravi was travelling in a third AC compartment. When TTE asked him to show the ticket, he started shouting at him for a bedroll. The TTE told him that an attendant will provide him with the bedroll but he should first show him the ticket.”

He further added,

“Despite repeated requests, Taravi didn’t show him the ticket. Later, he posted a tweet to lodge a complaint to the railway minister.”

Gopal arrested Prayas at Guna and then took him to Shivpuri. He was charged for travelling in train in an intoxicated condition.

Kudos to railway officials for such a prompt action!
