Sridevi passed away on Saturday night in Dubai’s Jumeirah Emirates Towers hotel. This happened while she was getting ready for a surprise dinner arranged by Boney Kapoor.
It is said that they spoke for 15 minutes before she went to the bathroom. Later, when she didn’t come out, Boney Kapoor went to check and repeatedly knocked the door. However, she didn’t come out, after which he broke open the door and found her unconscious in the bathtub.
Earlier this morning, there were reports that Sridevi died of cardiac arrest, but now, fresh reports by Gulf News state that she died of accidental drowning.
Even Dubai Media Office has given a confirmation that Sridevi died owing to accidental drowning. She lost consciousness and couldn’t balance herself.
As of now, the case has been transferred to Dubai Public Prosecution. This means legal proceedings are going to happen now, only after which Sridevi’s body can be brought back to India.

Following the completion of post-mortem analysis, #DubaiPolice today stated that the death of Indian actress #Sridevi occurred due to drowning in her hotel apartment’s bathtub following loss of consciousness.
