Education Or Business? Kota’s Coaching Institutes Fight Over The Claim Of Top-Ranked Students

Education is something parents are most concerned about when it comes to their children. They sacrifice everything and work super hard to fulfill all the education-related needs of their children.

But with every round of earth around the sun, the life of parents and students is getting tougher. Not just the pressure of study is increasing on students, but parents also are finding hard to afford the unreasonable increase in fees. All this is benefiting no one except the education and coaching institutes.

These institutes have made education a business and to see the profit chart growing, they are going to any length or height. As per the latest reports, two coaching institutes of Kota have indulged in a dirty fight by claiming the top spots in the recently released AIIMS-MBBS 2017 results.

It’s a known fact that most of the institutes try to buy best students by providing them financial incentives, fee discounts and free accommodation. This strategy makes them go forward and attract more students by showing off the great results. Also, they take a hefty amount of coaching fees from those students which discourage them. But this time it has become even more shameful as everything has come right in front of the public’s eye.

Kota’s Allen Career Institute and Aakash Educational Services Pvt Ltd (AESPL) both released the lists of toppers on Thursday boasting of the same candidates. While Allen claimed all the top 10 candidates are from their coaching center, Aakash claimed several common names in its top 12 list.

Hindustan Times pointed out that it’s odd to see all toppers from one Kota coaching school. They also raised a question that perhaps the institute has figured out a pattern by carefully studying the questions of the last few years. It said that it could be a flaw of AIIMS that sets their question papers in a way that it does not change very often despite regular breakthroughs taking place in the medical field. Well that’s a valid point.

Further, there have been accusations of paper leaks.

Now, this is a really a sad state of affairs and makes us worried for the future of young brains. There should be some control on the level of greed increasing in every field.
