For most of us, the best time to watch movies in cinema halls is the weekend and this Friday, movie buffs will get a golden chance to watch movies at the ticket price of just Rs. 99 as it is Cinema Lover’s Day.
This offer will be valid for 31st May only and movie fans can take the benefit of this offer on 4000 screens of Multiplex Association of India (MAI) and it includes big chains such as PVR, INOX, and Cinepolis. MAI was founded by leading cinema operators in 2002 under FICCI (Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry) and this step of celebrating Cinema Lovers Day has been taken in order to attract the audiences towards cinema halls.
While the collection of some big movies has been disappointing, the limited release of foreign movies and Lok Sabha elections also affected the business of cinema halls because of which MAI came up with this initiative in an attempt to increase ticket sales.
The information related to the offer was shared by MAI through its official X handle. The tweet read, “Cinema Lovers Day returns on 31st May with movies for just Rs 99/-! Join us at cinemas across India to celebrate a day at the movies. Over 4000+ screens are participating, making it an unforgettable cinematic experience! #CinemaLoversDay”

However this offer is not applicable on premium segments such as reclines and IMAX. Other than this, the offer is applicable on all movies and all the show times on 31 May.
Let us inform you that if you book ticket online, you will need to pay convenience fees and GST in addition to Rs. 99 so if you want to take the maximum benefit, you should buy tickets from the counter only.
As of now, Bhaiyya Ji, Srikanth and Furiosa (Hollywood movie) are running in cinema halls and Mr and Mrs Mahi, Gangs of Godavari, Chotta Bheem and the Curse of Damyaan, and Haikyuu the Dumpster Battle will be releasing on 31 May and this will give ample options to viewers.
