The Indian cricket team defeated Pakistan comfortably by 9 wickets in yesterday’s match in the Asia Cup that was played at Dubai International Stadium in Dubai. This was the second match between India and Pakistan and both the matches have been won by India.
The only Pakistani player who was able to face the Indian bowling was veteran Shoaib Malik, the senior most player of the team. He scored 78 runs that helped the Pakistani team in reaching a respectable total of 237 runs.
Shoaib is very popular among the Indian cricket lovers as well, not just because he is a good player but because he is married to Indian tennis player Sania Mirza.
While Shikhar and Rohit were batting, Shoaib was fielding near the boundary line and some Indian fans started shouting, “Jiju, Jiju” (brother-in-law). On hearing Jiju, Shoaib waved towards the fans and won their hearts!

Shoaib Malik is not only the highest scorer for Pakistan in the last night’s match but he is also the top scorer for his team in the whole tournament. He has scored 181 runs in Asia Cup till now and his average is 90.5.
The target of 238 runs was achieved by the Indian team pretty comfortably as both the Indian openers scored centuries and played the highest Indian opening partnership of 210 runs. While Shikhar Dhawan scored 114 runs, the skipper Rohit Sharma remained not-out at 111 runs and India won the match with 10.3 overs remaining.
