Farah Khan has always been a woman of many talents. From choreographing some of Bollywood’s most iconic dance numbers to directing blockbuster films, she has never been afraid to reinvent herself. Now, the filmmaker and choreographer has stepped into a new creative space — YouTube.

Known for her humour and candid personality, Farah has found a way to merge her love for storytelling with a touch of real-life.
Appearing on Kajol and Twinkle Khanna’s talk show, Farah Khan opened up about what inspired her to start her YouTube channel. She revealed that she turned to the digital platform during a phase when she wasn’t working on any films. Practical reasons also played a part, with her three children preparing to go to college, she joked that it was time to think creatively about covering those expenses. With her signature wit, she said that when directing work wasn’t coming through, she decided to “try YouTube” and to her surprise, it quickly took off.
Farah Khan shared that her motivation goes beyond financial needs. She has discovered genuine joy in her work and plans to continue doing what she loves for as long as she can. She believes that happiness doesn’t depend on another person but must come from within, especially through meaningful work. The filmmaker reflected that her profession gives her a sense of purpose, adding that she could continue working well into her later years since her craft doesn’t depend on her looks or physique, a statement she made with her trademark humour.

In an upcoming episode of the show featuring Ananya Panday, Farah Khan will be seen sharing anecdotes from her career, including a light-hearted story about once asking a director to leave her room. The episode also features Ananya expressing her wish to act in a sequel lf Tees Maar Khan, one of Farah’s earlier films.
Farah Khan, who last directed Happy New Year in 2014, recently hosted Celebrity MasterChef. Her YouTube channel, where she films celebrity cooking sessions alongside her cook Dileep, has become a fan favourite. For Farah Khan, reinvention isn’t about chasing fame, it’s about staying curious, creative and finding joy in every phase of life.
