Humanity is dying a fast death in this world and the shameful rape incidents happening daily are a strong example of it.
While the country is still trying to provide justice to the rape victims of Kathua and Unnao, another shameful incident is reported. This incident which has been reported from Sitapur, 70 KM away from Lucknow will embarrass you.
A near 60-year-old aged man in the reported district has gifted his 35-year-old daughter to his friends. But that’s not the end. The man later joined his friends and gang-raped his daughter.
As per Indiatimes, the police reported that the man and his daughter were visiting a fair in Kamlapur area on the evening of April 15. After attending the fair, the accused called his friend Maan Singh, a history-sheeter, to the spot.
The woman was then manipulated by the man who took her to the house of another friend, Meraj. Meraj’s family was away that day.
The father of the woman and his friends then raped her one by one. The woman stayed at Meraj’s house for 18 hours and then she fled from there. After coming back she told the whole story to her mother and an FIR was registered.
Since then the father of the woman and his friend Maan Singh are on run. However, Meraj was arrested by the police.
Kamlapur SHO Sanjeet Sonkar said Meraj is in his early forties and works as a quack in Kamlapur. Sanjeet said-
“He claimed to be a medical practitioner but couldn’t produce a degree.”
SP Sureshrao A Kulkarni said that the woman was married 16 years back. However, she returned back within two years following a fight with her husband.
It has also been reported that in November 2017, her father was dismissed from the village following allegations of an incestuous relationship with the daughter.
“A panchayat was called and the father was arrested. He got bail in February this year,” said Kulkarni. Thereafter, the woman started staying separately with her 14-year-old child.
