On a regular basis, we come across cases of honor killing which are as frightening as they are shocking. Once again, an appalling incident has taken place in which a man purportedly murdered his own 15-yr daughter brutally.
In broad daylight, he threw the girl’s body in front of her boyfriend’s home after cutting her throat for the reason that he was against their love affair. Eyewitnesses revealed that after committing the crime, he approached the police station for confession and surrender.
The horrifying incident took place on Wednesday in Muzaffarnagar’s Charthawal. It was reported by cops that Jabbar Qureshi, a cloth vendor by profession, wasn’t present at the house when his wife got to hear the voice of Gulsaba, their teenage daughter, from a room. On observing that Gulsaba was accompanied by a guy, she locked the room from outside and told the girl’s father.
Shortly, when their neighbors realized that Qureshis locked up their 17-yr son named Dilnawaz Ahmad, they called cops who released the boy in spite of Qureshis’ resistance. When Jabbar Qureshi reached home at 8am, he was so angry that he cut Gulsaba’s throat and threw her body outside the home of the boy. Later, he made a confession and surrendered.
As per SO of Charthawal police station, Sanjeev Sharma, “The situation had become explosive as both families and their relatives had become highly agitated. But we arrested Qureshi.”
