‘Rustom’, the latest release of Akshay Kumar , revolving around K. M Nanavati Case has minted good money and has successfully entered the 100 crore club. Audience has highly appreciated the way Akshay portrayed Rustom Pavri in the movie. But wait, some surprising reports have come out.
Yes, as per some reports, it was Aamir Khan’s idea to make a film on K.M Nanavati case and he was secretly working on it too. The actor conducted a lot of research and had even managed to get Sylvia (Nanavati’s widow) on board for the movie.
Reports quoted sources saying
“Aamir was very eager to do a film on the case. He was collaborating with director Ram Madhvani on the same. After the director helmed the true-life account in Neerja effectively, Aamir felt Madhvani was the best filmmaker to piece together the intricate jigsaw of the real-life Nanavati case,”
Even Mrs. Nanavati showed lot of interest and enthusiasm in working with Aamir Khan. Unfortunately, things got messed up for Aamir when 2 other movies were announced on this same theme. One movie was ‘Rustom’ and 2nd one was ‘Love Affair’, a Soni Razdan and Pooja Bhatt movie. While the former hit the screens on 12th August, there is no news about the release of ‘Love Affair’.
Sources also say that Aamir Khan was extremely disappointed when he watched the Akshay Kumar starrer because he believed that he had done more research than ‘Rustom’ makers.
Some sources talked of Aamir saying “The tone of our film was going to be totally different. It’s one of the most important cases of our times and deserved to be brought to celluloid with some responsibility,”
Now, reports say that Aamir’s project has been put on hold, thanks to his perfectionism. We all know how Aamir is; he will never agree to make a movie, the subject of which is already exposed.
