Fawad Khan, the poster boy for Bollywood and heartthrob of many girls in India, has been in news since a while now, unfortunately, due to Indo-Pak crisis. Following Uri attacks, IMPPA banned Pakistani artists from working in the Indian film industry, till the issue is resolved. However, for Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan, who will be making their debut in ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ and ‘Raees’, this is a major turmoil, as it would hamper the release of their upcoming movies to a great extent.
With so many reports spreading on social media about the Bollywood’s stance on this ban, one report that was making rounds of social media was Fawad Khan’s comment saying;
“Bollywood kisi ke baap ki hai kya jo hum wahan kaam nahin karenge, Bollywood hamare logon ke wajah se hi hai. Jo log hamara virodh kar rahe hain, woh hote kaun hai virodh karne wale, inn chhote logon ki virodh ki hume kya parwah”.
Finally, Fawad Khan has broken his silence on this matter and you can’t afford to miss what he said. Well, the actor’s Facebook post narrates a completely different story. Have a look at his post.
The post reads;
“I’ve been in Lahore since July as my wife and I had been expecting our second child. I’ve received numerous requests from the media and from well wishers worldwide asking me for my thoughts on the sad incidents that took place in the past few weeks. As a father of two little children, I pray and wish like many others that together we can build and live in a more peaceful world. I believe we owe it to our children who will shape our tomorrow.
This is the first time I have spoken on the matter. Please disregard any other words attributed to me during this time because I have not said them. I thank all my fans and fellow artists from Pakistan, India and people in general all over the world who have shown continued support for their belief in love and understanding to unite a divisive world.”
Oh so Fawad had not passed those statements, that were going viral on social media. What does the media get by spreading such false statements? Well, for media, this India-Pakistan crisis is a good opportunity to create some gossip and earn TRPs, don’t you think so? Journalists are actually tweaking the statements of the actors and spreading it online, this is so very WRONG!
