Kapil Sharma starrer Firangi released at Box Office after a lot of promotion. Since the brand Kapil Sharma is big and his first film was a Hit, even Firangi was expected to work at Box Office.
However, the film has bitten him and the makers like a really bad bug. The film opened to a really low response and the possible reason is the way film has been presented.
The trailers were weak and didn’t promise a proper entertainer for the audience which they expect from Kapil.
Firangi earned mere 2 crores net at Box Office on Day 1. The collections were expected to improve but that didn’t happen. The content seems to have got rejected by audience and hence it earned just 2.25 crores net on Saturday.
It looks like there has been an improvement but that’s not the case. A 20% jump is considered normal unless the opening is really big, but here the opening was really weak and even a 50% jump was not going to help much.
Firangi could show a growth of just 10% which is way too devastating for everyone related. The total collections are 4.25 crores net which is really bad result. The two day business is less than half of the opening of Kapil’s first film KKPK which was about 10 crores.
On the other hand, Sunny Leone and Arbaaz Khan starrer Tera Intezaar collected 45 lakhs on Day 1 and 50 lakhs on Day 2. The total collections are 95 lakhs which is a disastrous result.
