A case of cheating has been registered by Malabar Hill Police Station in Mumbai against Flipkart, the online shopping giant! Want to hear the reason? Well, a customer named Anand Bhalakia from Walkeshwar ordered a Samsung Galaxy Note 4 From Flipkart, but in return he received a bar of soap.
The customer was shocked when he opened the parcel, as there was a bar of Nirma Soap inside. Basically, Anand works in a leading IT firm and decided to register a complaint against Flipkart. However, the company stated that his complaint wasn’t genuine.
Bhalakia said “I had ordered a Samsung Galaxy Note 4 on May 25 and the product was delivered on May 30. I had opted for cash-on-delivery and paid Rs 29,900 to the delivery boy,”
He was truly pissed off with this experience. He never expected such a thing to happen.
He adds;
“The box contained a soap bar and an Android phone charger. I telephoned the deliveryman immediately. He was 10 minutes away from my home but said I would have to call Flipkart’s customer care number to lodge a complaint,”
Then he called up their customer care but was shocked when they told him that his complaint wasn’t genuine. Then, he took the decision of reporting the matter to Malabar Hill Police Station and lodging a complaint under Section 420 of IPC.
Anand says;
“My experience with Flipkart has been disgusting. I received Nirma soap instead of a smartphone. Over the next few days I called them several times to inquire about the issue but received neither the cell phone nor my money. They initially denied me a refund or replacement, claiming that my complaint was not genuine. This was very annoying, so I filed a complaint with the police and on various customer complaint websites, after which they refunded my money on Tuesday,”
Devidas Chaudhary, the sub-inspector of Malabar Hill Police Station stated that the investigation would be started after taking the statement of the delivery boy. Moreover, other aspects would also be considered.
On the other hand, Flipkart says;
“Flipkart observes a zero tolerance policy on incidents that impact customer trust. We are conducting an internal investigation into this case and are putting all efforts to find out the real facts of this incident. Meanwhile, as a responsible marketplace, the money has been refunded to the customer in good faith.”
So guys have you ever had such experiences with Flipkart? Feel free to comment..
