Boney Kapoor is one of the most successful movie producers of the Indian film industry and it is not just he from his family who is active in movies, his brother Anil Kapoor and his kids, Boney Kapoor’s kids – Arjun Kapoor, Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor are also actively involved in movies as actors.
Boney Kapoor’s wife, late Sridevi was one of the most loved and most famous actresses of the country and she was Boney Kapoor’s second wife. Recently, Boney opened up on his secret marriage with Sridevi, he stated that they got married at Shirdi on 2 June 1996 and they both stayed over there for a night. He added that their marriage was kept as a secret but they had to get married publicly in January 1997 as Sridevi’s baby bump was pretty much clear for everyone to see and they were left with no option other than getting married in public.
Boney Kapoor stated that there are still some journalists who write that Janhvi was conceived before their marriage. Boney called Sridevi his strength, lifeline and said that she is still there in his thoughts all the time and it really makes him sad that she is not with him when he needs her the most. He added that he wanted Sridevi to see her daughters getting successful. Boney further said that he is now producing regional films as well because it was her idea and he is trying his best to fulfill all the dreams of his late wife.
Boney Kapoor further says that he will prefer to be called a simple family man rather than being called a powerful family man. He adds that he can be described as a caring son, brother, husband to his wife and father to his four kids – Arjun, Anshula, Janhvi and Khushi. He further says that the best way to describe him would be a simple and honest man who has been sincere to every person around him including his first wife Mona Shourie. Boney Kapoor was married to Mona Shourie from 1983 to 1996 and he said he didn’t hide anything from Mona and made her aware of the feelings that he had for Sridevi.
Sridevi departed from this world in 2018, she lost her life because of accidental drowning that took place in a bathtub in a hotel of Dubai. Sridevi’s last movie was Mom and she was honoured with the National Award for Best Actress for her role in the movie.
