The veteran Bollywood actress Kajol is on a roll on OTTs as audience is going gaga over her acting performance in “Lust Stories 2” and “The Trial” as well. Kajol didn’t hesitate to do an on-screen kiss in “The Trial” as it was the demand of the script and it was certainly a big thing as she has avoided kissing her co-actors in movies for almost three decades. The Trial also stars Jisshu Sengupta and Alyy Khan.
Kajol plays the character of Noyonika Sengupta who has to take up a job in a law firm after her husband gets caught in a scandal. The law firm is owned by Noyonika’s ex-boyfriend (character played by Alyy Khan) and when they both met again, things happened on their own and they kissed each other.
Alyy Khan talked about the kiss with Kajol in an old interview which he gave in January 2023. He said that when he was young, Kajol was one of his favourite actresses, he has been watching her acting for the last 30 years or so and they used to work in the same studio. Alyy said that he had heard Kajol was short tempered and recently, he finished a web series in which he is playing the character of her boyfriend and they both have kissing scene in the web series.
He further said that he played the character of Kajol’s boyfriend and boss and they were college sweethearts who met again after a long time and then they had a French kiss. Talking about the kiss, Alyy said that the shooting took place in a posh hotel of Mumbai and the director even asked whether they both wanted to have a closed shoot. Alyy Khan further stated that it was a professional shoot, they rehearsed for it 3-4 times, saw it in the monitor and when they both were happy, they moved on. Alyy Khan added that after the kiss, Kajol thanked him and also called him darling.
