However, this note ban is not the only attack by Modi government! Yes, you heard it right, while addressing the audience; Modi said that his next move would be against “Benami properties”. He asked people to co-operate with him for next 50 days and he promised to drive away corruption completely.

Further, he stated that bureaucrats possess Benami flats in Goa and said he will teach them a lesson. Modi said that a law has been passed by the government, which enables crackdown on “Benami properties”.

Benami Transactions (Prohibition) Amendment Act, 2016 has been passed by the parliament in this year’s monsoon session. Yes, many a times, people posses “Benami properties” to get rid of taxes. Now, as per this new law, such people will be strictly punished.
