The incident has led to the arrest of the shopkeeper and an investigation is currently underway. A video circulating widely online shows what appears to be a frog leg found inside the samosa. The footage reveals the customer identifying the shop—Bikaner Sweets in Ghaziabad—as the source of the contaminated food item. The video also captures a group of people approaching the shop’s receptionist, asking to speak with the owner while showing the contaminated samosa. At one point, a man in the video is heard instructing another to dial 100, the police helpline number.
In the video, another person remarks that they chose to buy samosas specifically from this shop, despite other available options, highlighting the breach of trust and the gravity of the incident. This case has further fueled discussions about the state of food safety in India and the urgent need for stringent measures to ensure public health.
