There is no denying the fact that the year 2020 has been a little harsh on Bollywood but it is completely true that still many Indians got inspired and influenced by the B-Town celebs. It is also impossible to ignore the fact that some of the Bollywood celebs are involved actively in the social causes and some huge donations have been made by few actors during the coronavirus pandemic. The Forbes Magazine has released the list of the Asia-Pacific’s most influential celebrities on social media and many Bollywood celebs have secured place in this list.
Considering the fact that almost the whole year was marred by the COVID-19 pandemic and people stayed in their houses for the majority part of 2020, this list is unranked and takes into account the initiatives carried out by the celebrities on social media as the events and activities which were supposed to be carried out in person got cancelled. Forbes focuses on the celebs who kept in touch with their fans, made them aware about the coronavirus and safety measures, spread positivity and contributed in the COVID-19 relief.
While the legendary Indian actor Amitabh Bachchan was included in the list for raising $7 milllion for the COVID-19 relief fund, the Khiladi of Bollywood aka Akshay Kumar has been termed as the highest paid actor of B-Town and he has also been credited for donating $4 million in the COVID-19 relief fund. The superstar Shah Rukh Khan has also been included in the list as he was honoured by the World Economic Forum (WEF) for working for the rights of women and children.
Ranveer Singh has found a place too because of his movie “Padmaavat” which is the 10th highest grossing film of Bollywood till date. Alia Bhatt has been regarded as one of the highest paid actresses of the industry and she was also called a part of the Bollywood family dynasty.
The veteran actress Madhuri Dixit has got a place in this list because of the online dance classes that she carried out in the month of April and helped her fans in learning some cool dance moves. Actress Anushka Sharma who is presently pregnant has been included in the list as she is pretty active for women’s causes and environmental cause as well. Shahid Kapoor has been praised for his performance in the superhit movie “Kabir Singh” which is the second highest grossing flick of 2019.
Not just the actors but the singers have also been included in this list such as Neha Kakkar and Shreya Ghoshal. Neha recently got married to Punjabi singer Rohanpreet Singh and the couple also made news for their age difference.
