Cop detained 5 students of FTII (Film and Television Institute of India) at midnight from the campus and the reason behind the same is that all these students are accused of rioting. A striking students group gheraoed Prashant Pathrabe, institute director, as a protest against incomplete diploma projects’ groundless & unfair evaluation.
Cop filed a case against thirty students after Prashant’s complaint. Out of 30 students, 5 had been taken into custody under IPC Section 353 and detained in Deccan police station.
Students got arrested post midnight and as news spread, Arvind Kejriwal, CM of Delhi, offered them a helping hand.
