Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir who are often seen as rivals both on and off the field, have teamed up to finally put an end to the ongoing speculation surrounding their relationship. Over the years, their on-field altercations, particularly in the Indian Premier League (IPL), have fueled intense social media debates, dividing their fanbases. However, with Gambhir now serving as a coach and Kohli as a player for the Indian team, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) decided to address the rumours by facilitating an interview between the two, marking the first time they have publicly discussed their dynamic.
In a sneak peek shared by the BCCI on social media, Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir were seen humorously teasing each other about their well-known clashes with players from opposing teams. Kohli, with a playful tone, asked Gambhir about the mindset he adopts during on-field confrontations. Gambhir’s unexpected and witty response left Virat visibly surprised, offering a lighter and more amicable side to their relationship.
Virat Kohli asked Gautam Gambhir, “When you are batting and you have a bit of a chat with the opposition, did you ever feel like this might carry on to you going out of the zone and potentially getting out, or it put you in a more motivated state?”
Gambhir responded in a cheeky manner and reminded Virat that it is he who has more altercations with the opposition. He said, “You have had more altercations than I have. I think you can answer that question, better than I can.”
Virat Kohli laughed and said, “Main to ye dhund raha hun ki koi meri baat se agree kar jaye. Ye nahi bol raha ki galat hai. Koi to bole haan, yahi hota hai”. (I am only looking for someone who agrees with what I have to say. Not saying that it is wrong. At least someone should say, yes this is what happens).

The Indian team is all set to face Bangladesh in the 2-match test series starting tomorrow and it will be the first test assignment for Gautam Gambhir as the head coach of team India.
It seems that now fans of both Gambhir and Virat won’t get any chance to fight each other. What do you say?
