There is no denying the fact that work is an important part of life and we should be very serious about it but proper work-life balance is also vital for living a healthy, happy and meaningful life. While we have seen that in foreign countries, people are very particular about their work timings and working conditions, very less importance is given to these factors in India, in fact on the contrary, people boast about working for long hours here.
In India, a person who works overtime and doesn’t give much time to his family is respected by his employer and peers but slowly his personal life goes for a toss and is filled with toxicity. Well over the years, people are now getting aware of the importance of work-life balance and many employees prefer to leave that organization which doesn’t provide healthy working conditions. The companies have also understood that a happy employee is more efficient and productive and he is able to contribute more towards the growth of organization in the long run.
Recently a LinkedIn user Tanvi Khandelwal made a very interesting post on the website in which she revealed that as their working hours get over, her company not only issues a warning to go home but also shuts down their computers.
The warning on the screen reads,
“Your shift time is over. The office system will shut down in 10 mins. PLEASE GO HOME!”
