There have been many reports about Kapil Sharma’s show going off air, after a decline in TRPs. Everyone blamed the ugly spat between Sunil-Kapil for this. Looks as if these plans are going to be postponed now.
Well, there’s a great news for all you Kapil Sharma fans; let us tell you that TKSS is not going off air anytime soon. We had reported that Sony had given a 1 month ultimatum to Kapil Sharma for sorting out things; but now, TKSS has got a 2-month extension, all thanks to Salman Khan. Want to know how this became possible?
Salman’s upcoming show Dus Ka Dum, which was going to replace TKSS is going to be postponed now. This is because the host i.e. Salman Khan isn’t available owing to his hectic schedules. Currently, the star is busy promoting Tubelight and also has to wrap up his schedule for Tiger Zinda Hai.
Now, Salman’s tight schedules have saved the show. According to some sources, Dus Ka Dum has been postponed to January 2018. This is the reason Kapil has got 2 more months to run his show.
An insider from the channel said,
“Last week’s TRPs went up to nearly 4 million impressions from 3.4 million the week before. As its peak, the show garnered an average six million impressions. The recent Arjun Kapoor- Shraddha Kapoor episode evoked a positive response. We will have to wait and watch for at least a fortnight if the upward trend continues. We can’t write Kapil’s show off just yet.”
Does this mean that Sony TV will study TKSS’ TRPs for 2 more months and then take the decision? Let’s hope for the best now!
