Google Hires Class 12 Student From Government School At Rs 1.44 Crore Annual Package!

Indians have made a considerable name in the field of IT and once again, an Indian teenager has made the country proud by getting a job offer from the largest search engine of the world, i.e., Google and that too, for a huge amount of Rs. 1.44 crore.

As per a report in HT, 16-yr Harshit Sharma from Chandigarh will soon join Google’s graphic designing team in US.

Harshit studies in Government Model Senior Secondary School (GMSSS), Sector 33, in Chandigarh and he will be trained for one year by the company. During the training, he will be earning a stipend of Rs. 4 lakh per month and on job, he will be getting a salary of Rs. 12 lakh per month.

Harshit told HT,

“I kept searching for jobs online. I applied for this job in May, and was interviewed online. I have been interested in graphic designing for the past 10 years. I was selected on the basis of the posters I designed.”

It is also revealed in a report that Harshit got the appointment letter in June after he applied through a Google link. He told Chandigarh Newsline,

“During my school time, I used to make posters of both Bollywood and Hollywood stars and earned Rs 40,000-50,000.”

Harshit basically hails from Mathana in Kurukshetra, Haryana, and he studied IT in Class 11. His parents are school teachers and he also won an award of Rs. 7,000 under the Prime Minister’s Digital India scheme.

UPDATE:- Google spokesperson while talking to Indian Express said “Currently, we don’t have any information on our records with respect to Harshit Sharma’s candidacy.”
