There would be a few people on the Internet who don’t know about Dhinchak Pooja but there would be absolutely no one who doesn’t recognise “Gormint” Aunty.

The Pakistan based lady became the social media sensation after her rant against Pakistani government “Ye bik gayi hai gormint” went viral on Internet. The way she used those words, added with some cuss words, worked just like the masala in Maggi for people. They absolutely loved the video and made her an iconic character.

But, all this while she became so popular here in India her family is having tough times in Pakistan.

As per Pakistan’s Samaa TV reports, the woman named Qamar and her family has been abandoned by her extended family.

Talking to the media house, her son said-

“Everyone makes fun of my mother. We have stopped attending family events because people, instead of enjoying the family functions, shift their focus on my mother. We have had many altercations with our relatives and neighbours over the issue. As a result, no one comes to our house anymore,”

Qamar’s son even told why his mother had used cuss words during the interview to a private TV channel, which later went viral.

“My mother is very short-tempered. She hurls abuses whenever her blood pressure is high and she doesn’t even realise what she is saying. She uttered whatever came in her mind when the TV vaalay (people) came in our area that day because she was extremely angry and her blood pressure was also high,”

Her son further said that the family is finding it difficult to even find suitable matches for their girls.

It feels really bad after knowing her story. We wish things get better for her soon.
