Sunil Grover is undeniably one of the most talented and popular comedians of the world with a large number of followers. His fans have been missing him on the small screen ever since he quit The Kapil Sharma Show post which the show went off-air. However, luck worked in his favour even after that and despite leaving the comedy show, he managed to grab movies and some very big projects like Salman Khan’s “Bharat”.
Now there is some great news for his fans who have been desiring to watch him back on TV. Yes, you guessed it right!
Your favourite Sunil is all set to make a comeback on small screen with a weekend mini-series that will be telecasted on Star Plus.
As per a source, Star Plus has made repute for itself with its fiction serials and now it is making attempts for excelling in the comedy niche too. For the same, they have approached Sunil Grover who will give a brief analysis of the events happened in 2018 along with other comedians like Sudesh Lahiri and movie celebrities. There will be merely 14 episodes in the series due to the busy routine of Sunil; however, it may extend if it gets a good response.
The source reported that Sunil will appear in a completely new avatar of a middle-aged character belonging to UP and work on his character is still going on. A film personality will join him as co-host but things are not officially confirmed in this regard.
In the series, he will have a candid interaction with celebs regarding their movies and lives and it is expected that Ranveer and SRK will appear on the show for promoting “Simmba” and “Zero” respectively. In fact, the report went on to say that Rekha might also appear in one episode and talks for the same are going on. The mini-series will go on air in December’s first weekend and even though the time slot is not confirmed, it’s most likely to be aired at 9PM.
