Telecommunication has its long list of benefits and no one needs to list them down for anyone in this age. After WhatsApp, the way people communicate with each other has only improved and become easier.
However, along with the benefits, WhatsApp users especially females have been the victims of a lot of offensive texts and ab*ses. Even though the online messaging app gives the options to block unwanted conversations, but sometimes things get way too much.
Department of Telecom (DoT) has come up with an impressive method to tackle the issue. From now on, any WhatsApp user will be able to file a complaint against the users sending out offensive texts to them. To file a complaint, they just need to mail a screenshot of the offensive message along with the WhatsApp contact number of the user to DoT’s email id i.e. [email protected].
A DoT official, Ashish Joshi took to Twitter and wrote-
If anyone is receiving abusive/offensive/death threats/ vulgar whatsapp messages ,please send screen shots of the message along with the mobile numbers at [email protected]
We will take it up with the telecom operators and police heads for necessary action.

Now that’s something really worth appreciating. Isn’t it?
