Gully Boy Third Day Collections Out. The Movie Shows Massive Growth & Crosses 50 Crore Mark

Everything seems to be going right for actor Ranveer Singh as he is delivering superhit movies one after another and lately he also got married to his dream girl Deepika Padukone. Talking about his latest flick “Gully Boy”, it is performing great on the box-office and the actor is getting appreciated for his work by not just his fans but critics as well.

The film is directed by Zoya Akhtar and also stars Alia Bhatt along with Ranveer Singh. It hit the theatres on 14th Feb 2019 as it was the Valentine’s Day and on its opening day only, the movie earned Rs 19.40 crore. However, collections went down to Rs 13.10 crore on the second day as the whole country was in a state of shock after the unfortunate incident that took place in Pulwama.

Nevertheless, the figures went up once again on the third day, i.e., Saturday and “Gully Boy” minted Rs 18.65 crore, totaling the amount to Rs 51.15 crore.

Day 1 – Rs 19.40 crore

Day 2 – Rs 13.10 crore

Day 3 – Rs 18.65 crore

Total – Rs 51.15 crore

Since the movie has crossed Rs. 50 crore mark in the first three days, trade analysts strongly believe that its collections will be more than Rs 70 crore in the extended weekend.

Here’s what trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, “#GullyBoy catches speed… Crosses ₹ 50 cr… Metros excellent, driving the biz… Mass belt/Tier-2 cities improve… Day 4 [Sun] should be huge again… ₹ 70 cr+ *extended* weekend on cards… Thu 19.40 cr, Fri 13.10 cr, Sat 18.65 cr. Total: ₹ 51.15 cr. India biz.”

“Gully Boy” depicts the story of a rapper named Murad from Dharavi, a slum in Mumbai, and the struggles that he faced in order to fulfill his dream. Ranveer Singh is getting praises from all over the world, not to forget to mention that Hollywood actor Will Smith also posted a video on Instagram, showering praises on his friend from India.
