Gurmeet Ram Rahim Gets Rs 40 Per Day In Jail! But, He Has To Do This Job For Earning It

Ending the 15-year long struggle of two Dera Sacha Sauda female followers whom Gurmeet Ram Rahim had raped, the CBI court declared a 20-year long Jail sentence.

Although there were reports earlier that Ram Rahim is getting VIP treatment from police, things were crystal clear when he finally reached the jail after completing all the formalities.

Much to the happiness of victims, Gurmeet Ram Rahim was allowed no benefit and had an environment and facilities just like any other prisoner in the Rohtak jail.

It was learnt that Gurmeet had a very miserable day 1 in jail as he drank regular water and spent the time without AC. There was no bed available and no personal attendant when he complained about the back pain. The reports suggested that he drank only milk and had no or very little food.

Now that he has completed almost a week in the jail, there are more reports flowing in. It is being said that law has ensured that sentence of Gurmeet continues to remain hard.

Jail officials had recently counselled Ram Rahim to take up a job. He was given the option of either working in a jail factory or a jail gardener. And it has now been determined that Gurmeet will work as a gardener in the jail area and will take a pay of Rs 40 per day.

Meanwhile, the behaviour of Gurmeet in the jail has totally changed. It has been learnt that Gurmeet is not talking to anyone in the jail, including the numberdaars. His mental health has been little weak and he is often noticed talking to walls.

Also, he is not eating much in the jail except fruits, little food and mineral water from the jail canteen.

A Dalit activist Swaraj Kirad, who too was lodged in the Rohtak jail till Friday, said Gurmeet was the center of attraction for other inmates. “But his presence has spelt trouble for many, especially the undertrials whose bail applications or release orders were issued over past one week as there was a blanket ban on anyone entering or leaving the jail.”

Gurmeet’s presence is taking a toll on other inmates as due to security reasons, all inmates are sent inside their cells when Gurmeet is taken out.

Meanwhile, the trial of two murder cases on Gurmeet has also reached the final stages. Apart from that, a case of castration of his followers is also being probed by CBI.

We hope the decision regarding these cases is announced soon.
