The TMKOC fame actor Gurucharan Singh left everyone shocked when he went missing on 22 April, not just his family members and friends but his fans were also quite worried for him.
Though the police launched search operation, they were not able to find him. After 26 days of being missing, Gurucharan Singh returned home on his own. When he was asked by the police about his disappearance, he stated that he went on a spiritual journey, visited gurudwaras in Amritsar and Ludhiana and returned home when he felt that he should return.
The 51 years old actor has now opened up on his disappearance for the first time and he has stated very clearly that it was not a publicity stunt as many are saying and he returned because he got a sign from the God.
While speaking to a leading daily, Gurucharan Singh says that he has been a spiritual person all his life because of his parents and at that point of life, he was feeling low so he turned towards the Almighty. He added that he went on a spiritual journey and had no plans of coming back but he returned after getting a sign from the God.
Gurucharan further said that many people are saying that he disappeared for getting publicity but this is not the case. If he wanted publicity, he could have given interviews and talked about his pending dues but he didn’t do that, he could have used social media for that purpose but he didn’t do that as well. Gurucharan Singh said that even after returning, he could have given interviews but he did not, however he is giving now just to make things clear about what some people are saying about him.
In the same interview, Gurucharan accepted that he was facing financial problems after leaving Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah and he tried to set up businesses but they failed and he was under debt. He added that now he wants to work and settle all his loans one by one. In fact, he has told all his friends in the industry that he wants to work and requested them to inform him if there is anything that he can do.
Gurucharan Singh is known for playing the character of Roshan Singh Sodhi in TMKOC and he was so popular that when he left the show in 2013, he had to come back due to high public demand. In 2020, he left the show again and now Balwinder Singh Suri is playing that character.
Hopefully he will get work and once again we will get to see him on the small screen or may be big screen as well.
