Traffic police is dangerous! Yes, although the cops don’t carry guns with them, they can screw you big time. Once you are caught, you either end up arguing with them or paying hefty fines. Obviously, as a responsible citizen we need to respect traffic rules, but what if these cops blame you without any reason? Won’t it be a frustrating experience for you?
No one would like paying fines, and that too when they are innocent and haven’t broken the rules. However, corruption is on a rise and these days, some cops are leaving no chance to shell out money from innocent people.
Something similar happened with this guy named Shabi Ul Hussain, a resident of Kolkata. A sergeant caught him at Em Bypass without any reason. When asked, the cop said he broke the signal, which actually he didn’t do. On this, Shabi asked him to check CCTV footage for clarifications, but he didn’t do that.
After that, Shabi was given the case of section 179 (Refusing to answer public servant authorised to question), section 177 (Furnishing false information), section 130 ( Driver, in a public place, failing to produce his licence, on demand, to any police officer in uniform) and section 184 (Whoever drives a motor vehicle at a speed or in a manner which is dangerous to the public) just because a valid confirmation was sought.
When Shabi told him it was nothing but injustice and cheating, the sergeant literally beat him up. Shabi thought of making this post public and shared his experience, tagging Narendra Modi, Mamta Banerjee and popular news channels like ZeeNews and NDTV News.
