The coronavirus pandemic has changed our lives to such an extent that now people can’t even step out of their houses without masks, they can’t shake hands, can’t hug their loved ones and have to maintain social distancing whenever outside their home. The lethal virus has taken the lives of more than 5,71,000 people while the total number of COVID-19 positive cases registered is 12.9 million worldwide.
What had made this coronavirus so scary was the fact that there was no vaccine available in the market for this virus but now things will be changing pretty soon, hopefully. Here is good news that Russia has completed all the human clinical trials of COVID-19 vaccine successfully and it is the first country to do so.
These trials were carried out at the Center for Clinical Research on Medications at Sechenov University in Russia and the news was shared by Vadim Tarasov who is the director of the Institute for Translational Medicine and Biotechnology. As per Elena Smolyarchuk who is the chief researcher at the Sechenov University, it has been ascertained after the research got over that the vaccine is completely safe and the volunteers who participated in the research will be discharged on two dates, July 15 and July 20.
Though people are feeling quite happy after knowing about this news, there is no information in regard to when this vaccine will be available to common public.
