Cricket world came to a halt due to the not-so-expected controversy surrounding Steve Smith. Well, he agreed that they took help of illegal means in 3rd test match against South Africa.
After this incident was confirmed, Smith and Warner stepped down as the Captain and Vice-Captain of this test match. Smith was fined 100 percent of his match fee and was also given 1-test ban. On the other hand, Cameron Bancroft was fined 75 percent of his match fees and was also handed over 3 demerit points.
Seeing this decision of ICC, Harbhajan Singh lashed out at them. Yes, he wasn’t very happy because he believed ICC took unfair decision. Bhajji showed displeasure because ICC didn’t suspend Cameron Bancroft. On the other hand, even Smith got just 1-match ban.
Harbhajan Singh took to Twitter & slammed ICC. He reminded ICC of how he along with 5 other India members were suspended in 2001 in Test match against South Africa.
Overall, Harbhajan is against the verdict. He strongly said that ICC Should have banned Bancroft since all evidences were against him. The Indian cricketer also reminded ICC of Monkey Gate incident.
