Hardik Patel, the 23 year old convenor of Patidar Anamat Andolan Samiti (PAAS), has claimed that he had been promised a huge amount of Rs. 1200 crore and a good designation in the national youth wing of BJP if he calls off his quota campaign.

This was written in his letter which he wrote to his father Bharat Patel from Lajpore Jail, Surat. On Friday, copies of letter were given to the journalists. Hardik also claims that Gujarat government has been sending two people to meet him regularly for the past three-four days.

As per his claims, one of the two is a senior IAS officer who has played an important role in the police action conducted against the Patidars who were demanding reservation in jobs and education institutions under the category of other backward class (OBC). However, he is very firm and determined to carry on the agitation and he also asks his father not to worry about him.

Additionally, Hardik has also written two letters to the Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel in which he has ruled out any possibility of calling off quota campaign.
