Despite her effort, the two-time champions fell short, losing the match by 11 runs.
While the defeat meant Mumbai Indians could not seal their playoff spot through this game, Harmanpreet Kaur still walked away with a historic achievement. Her 82-run innings took her past a major milestone, making her the first and only player in the Women’s Premier League to score 500 runs against a single team. She now has 504 runs against Gujarat Giants, achieved across nine matches, including six half-centuries against Ashleigh Gardner-led side.
In the overall list of batters with the most runs against one WPL team, Harmanpreet Kaur stands clear at the top, ahead of her teammate Nat Sciver-Brunt, who has piled up 378 runs against UP Warriorz. Harmanpreet has also dominated Delhi Capitals, scoring 377 runs in 10 matches, the highest by any batter against that franchise.
