Yesterday the entire country was shocked by Modi’s demonetization effect. Social media was filled with memes and trolls of Rs 500-1000 notes being banned. Yes, this announcement made by the PM went viral in no time, and very soon, responses started pouring in from B-Town, politicians as well as sports personalities.
However, amidst all this, there are some photographs that are going viral. Yes, these are photos of South India’s politicians and they have become a talking point on social media.
Well, in these photos, Byalahalli Govinda Gowda (Bank president), Mahesh (District panchayat member), SN Narayan Swamy (Bangarpet MLA and Congress Leader) are shown distributing bundles of Rs 500- Rs 1000 notes to people in Kolar, Karnataka. Basically, they were giving this money to poor villagers as loan (3 lakhs per head).

But wait, as per ABP news, there is a twist! Reports say;
“When local police made an inquiry into it, they found that the disbursing event happened on Monday, a day before Modi announced the currency ban. The bank had organized the event to help self-help groups by lending money through such a public programmes.”
